A Pup Appreciation Post

Ok, so if you've been paying attention to the ol' Instagram you have noticed that I have a new family member. Now, his given name is Pongo, and that is going to stick, kind of. I've gone through the process of giving him a nickname which has now evolved into well, the name that he now responds to. He started out as Pongo, aka The Chonkster, but that has turned into The Chonk, which is also Chonky Boy, and Chonka Chonk. Any name he goes by he is full of love and sweetness so this is going to mostly be a pup appreciation post.

This was the first picture I posted, so why not just go in order of what I took. I do have a few more pictures than I shared, so I'll share them all here. Now, before we get into all of those let's get to the tale of how he met Morty and Ri Ri, cause it is quite the tale.

As you may remember from last week, I mentioned that I had an appointment for them to meet The Chonk on Monday. I made it to the appointment on time, but shenanigans ensued. When I arrived there were two people in front of me, so I knew this was going to be a process and maybe not the easiest. While I was standing with them patiently and they were being good. Two ladies came in with a cat, in a crate. Ri Ri does not like cats, and she started going a bit crazy. I immediately took them into the small merch room off to the side and they began to calm down, but then disaster struck. A whole classroom worth of kids came out of a room within sight of Morty, and he got excited because those were a whole bunch of people that he could meet. This as well as a lot of people got Ri Ri very anxious and she began barking and wanting to go after them. I couldn't leave because the women with the car were blocking the door, leaving me and the pups trapped. An employee finally came out to try and find out what everyone needed and I told them I had an appointment to meet Pongo, then I couldn't wait any more and made a dash for the door hoping that Ri Ri wouldn't catch sight of the cat as we zoomed by. Once outside I thought they would calm down, but then 2 more people started walking up and Morty somehow slipped out of his collar. This began a new comedy of errors and Morty was off. I started running after him and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it. The employee that was going to do the meet and greet was out with another dog and Morty made a mad dash for him. He was not happy about it and the employee got a little tangled up in his leash as he tried to go after Morty. This however gave me the chance to catch up and grab Morty by the scruff. I locked my grip in and held him as I wrangled Ri Ri away from the dog and the people and just held them still until everyone would go away. It took a couple of minutes but everyone finally left and I could slip the collar over Morty's head. I then walked with them along parking lot away from all the people and they finally began to calm down again. That's when another employee came out and told me that since everyone was riled up that I should just take them home to decompress and bring them back the next day. They would hold Pongo for one more day so we could try again. I knew this was the best course of action but was still a little disappointed.

The next day came and I left the pups in the car as I went to check in and then got back outside to get them out of the car but walking around the parking lot. After a short while the employee that was doing the meet and greet and one more came out to take Morty and Ri Ri around the back instead of through the building. The first one helped me meet Ri Ri so she knew that Ri Ri could be a bit of a brat and very selective, but what she didn't plan on was Ri Ri going after her since she knew her. The other employee took Morty who was very Morty like and was happy to hang out with a new person. The first one gave Ri Ri a steady diet of treats and after a slow but productive process, Ri Ri starting becoming the good girl that I knew she could be. She relaxed and stopped that old tendency of going after people and just hung out. Once everyone was calm the took Ri Ri into a different pen that was off to the side but still within sight of Morty and myself and they let Pongo come in. Morty and Pongo hit if off immediately. Then Pongo went over to the fence and Ri Ri charged up to it as well. I told the woman I was standing next to that despite how it looked, that was a good reaction from Ri Ri, and then she began to notice that Ri Ri had a happy tail, so she got Ri Ri and kept her on the leash as she guided her in to meet Pongo as well. It went very much the way it went when she first met Morty. They checked each other out, Ri Ri played a little and then got bored and laid down. Morty and Pongo played around a bit more and then I finally got my chance to really meet Pongo since he was distracted by the approaching storm when I met him. He came right up to him and since I'm an idiot and squatted down to his level, he charged and tackled me. Mind you Pongo is 84 lbs, and despite what I thought he is the exact same height as Morty, so he is a big boy. I started laughing hysterically as the employees all freaked out. Pongo was jut having fun and getting face kisses. I told them that if it wasn't sealed before it was after that, Pongo was going with me.

They suggested that I take Morty and Ri Ri back home first and then come back to take Pongo, which I felt was a good idea, I have no idea how with them all being knew that I could get them in the car together, now after a few days, I have no worries about that. That picture above was right after I got Pongo in the car. They did warn me that I should keep them separate when I wasn't there, which was the plan, but you know how plans go, but I'll get to that in a bit. First a few more pictures. This is the second picture I posted and it kind of shows how great the pups got along right off the bat.

This next one is either one that I posted or the one that I took at the same time, but this is about the time Pongo started becoming The Chonk.

Despite his size, he is quite adorable. Oh, I should mention that they didn't know much about The Chonk since he was a stray from Miami. They do transfers from time to time to find homes for pups that tend to stay in the shelters for a while. Morty was a transfer from Lakeland. He did have some fatty masses removed but they were benign. He also had a testicular mass removed, but they didn't test it, but they are assuming that it was a lipoma as well. Other than that he is super health, although he does have some bowel issues that he is taking some medication for, but since I got him home and started feeding him what I feed Morty and Ri Ri, he hasn't had any problems. I'm going to stick with the medication though until it runs out. How about another pic?

Don't worry I only have a few more. I had the rest of Tuesday and all of Wednesday to get to know The Chonk and get him to know Morty and Ri Ri. They really did hit it off immediately. He also gave Ri Ri a dose of her own medicine. One of the things she likes doing is when Morty is sitting on the floor next to my chair, she will come up and just start licking him in the face. Well, The Chonk was sitting where Morty usually does and Ri Ri came up to give it a go, and The Chonk beat her to it and licked her in the face. It threw her for a loop which was pretty funny. Ri Ri has had some moments, which is funny because they all thought that Morty and The Chonk would have a go, but The Chonk acknowledged Morty as the top dog really fast. Funny story about that. The first night Morty went into my room to lay on the bed in the evening, and The Chonk decided that was his chance to lay in a Morty's bed, which in reality, because of Ri Ri, is more of a community bed although it is officially Morty's bed. Anyway, The Chonk moved comically slowly as he would go from looking at the bed to the hallway where he knew Morty was. It took him about a full 10 seconds to move 3 feet. I could not stop laughing. Morty came out and as I suspected didn't care, but then The Chonk got up cause he wanted to hang with his big brother. Oh yeah, back to Ri Ri being a butt. She has had some growly moments, mostly at night when she is in the bed. Her and Morty get in the bed with me, and either The Chonk can't or just won't get up there, he will however lay in the doorway to be a part of everything. Ri Ri will then stand over him and growl at him. I've had to scold her a bit for this and in the last day she has gotten a bit better. She also had a moment outside where she went after The Chonk and he just kind of stared at her. With that being the case, when it was time for me to go to work on Thursday, I decided against locking The Chonk up in a room and just chanced it, and it went exactly like I thought it would. Ri Ri went and slept in my bed and Morty and The Chonk slept in the living room. They already love each other.

Ok, this was something that got me a little, because the way The Chonk lays is exactly how Baby Girl used to lay. I call it the seal spread.

It warmed my heart to have another dog do that. These pups bring so much joy to my life. So this is the part where I tell you that if you want a bet, go to your local adoption center whatever it is, and take a look at all the animals that are there. If your's is as great as the one I go to, they will fit you with the perfect pet. This of course was me picking The Chonk, but he also had to pick me and the rest of my pack, which I am so glad that he did. Oh before I share the final photo I have of The Chonkster, I'm working on getting him a Goonies collar. Morty of course has the Grogu collar, and Ri Ri as the David Bowie Space Oddity, so when I was thinking of what collar would be a good fit for The Chonk I immediately thought of the Goonies, so I began looking to see if they have any. I found a few but the one I think I'll be going with is on Amazon. It is black and white with "Goonies never say die" written all over it, and they over embroidering a name on it, so of course I'm going to get "Chonk" done on it in yellow letters. If you have no idea why Chonk is not only a nod to the movie, but the perfect name to have on it, then we really just can't be friends, and before you try to correct me I know Chonk isn't the exact name. Ok, final picture for this post anyway.

Ok before I go just a few things. I'm sure you all know about the SCOTUS decision which is a complete travesty. I won't really get into it here, but I've said this before. If you need an abortion and you need a safe escort, I am here for you. I will aid and abet abortions. I posted that to Instagram as well yesterday which is why this week was another Saturday vinyl. I just didn't want to put the vinyl up at the same time as that for the feeling that it would diminish the point I was trying to make. There is going to be a long fight ahead, and I'm up for the challenge. This is truly a disgrace and a decision put in place that is tone deaf to the majority of the country and their feelings on abortions. I will not tell you who to vote for, but I will tell you to register and then vote in every and all elections. That means even the small local ones. They are even more important than the national ones. One last thing, 4 justices perjured themselves in front of congress and deserve the consequences of their actions. Peace in and goodnight.

What Does The Future Hold

Doing a Saturday night post because I'll be working in the morning. This week was weird and not entirely in a good way. My schedule at work is all in question, but for this week I'm just going to let it ride and see what happens with things I have put in motion. If they work out, I will no longer be out at the space center. I don't really want to leave there, but I feel like I'm getting pushed out. For example, I was scheduled for only 1 day of work out there this coming week, but apparently the supervisor of my new supervisor caught a look at the schedule and flipped out, so I was back on Friday. I don't know how long that will last. I can say that my old supervisor wants me on his new site, so I may be going there soon. I'm just going to wait and see.

Before I get back into a little more work stuff, I just wanted to point out that for a reason which I will explain when I get back to work stuff, I didn't post Friday night vinyl until today, so it in essence, became Saturday vinyl. That will only be a this week thing.

Ok, now for the reason I couldn't post it. I didn't really say this, but I was put back on to my Friday night shift kind of at the last minute, so I was a little frazzled for the day because of that. I had already made plans for myself and that all got changed. I did manage to get the pictures and photos together to post, but just before 6pm last night a pretty major event occurred. I was just about to go and do my patrol when someone came into the lobby where my desk is, and told me that the fire sprinkler system had ruptured on the outside of the building. Fire was on the way so I went straight out to the gate to let them in when they showed up. It took some time since it wasn't an emergency in the sense that lives were at risk, but it was still an emergency. Once they got there I went down to look at the damage and see if anymore vehicles where coming in. When I got the clear from them I had to make a bunch of calls as per required by me whenever law enforcement or fire is on site. I made all those calls and waited for people to start arriving. Once the water was shut off so repairs on the pipe could take place, I had to conduct what is known as a Fire Watch. That meant I had to do a foot patrol every 15 minutes in the affected areas. This also meant since one of the affected areas is the part of the building where they assemble the space capsules, I had to go in and do fire checks. So yeah, I got to finally see the actual Starliner capsule up pretty close. There were still areas within that area that I couldn't go, and it wasn't necessary for me to go there, but I was able to see the scorch marks on the side of it from where the atmosphere kissed on it's re-entry. Oh, I was able to get a picture of the damaged pipe, no I didn't not take any pictures inside the room where the capsules were. That is a giant no no.

The water trickling out is what was left within the actually fire extinguishing system itself. Not sure if that flowered out portion was aluminum or steel, but you can see that the force of the water split it cleanly in half. There was no seam where that opened up at. The whole event from start to finish took about 3 hours, which was really fantastic. It could have taken much longer but Boeing has a team on call for just such an event, it was all a matter of when they arrived. I also got pretty high praise from the person that oversaw the repair and was told that it was going to be noted with a lot of praise going to me for my actions and willingness to do what needed to be done. One of the things he said to me and another person was, "This was a best case scenario" and he looked at me letting me know that me being on post that night was a part of that best case scenario. I would explain a little more why I know that to be the case, but there are a few things that I can't talk about, because people are currently looking into a few things that have started going on since the supervisor change. I'll just say that a lot of people aren't real happy.

Ok, now for something really fun. I have a picture for you of a dog that I saw on the SPCA's Facebook page a couple or maybe even a few weeks ago. I saw this face and simply became smitten with him. Here, I'll just share the picture now and then get into the story.

The picture gave his name as Pongo and that he is 8 yrs old and good with other dogs. That was really all I needed to hear, and I was ready to take Morty and Ri Ri up to meet him, but I didn't. The thing that was stopping me was Ri Ri. Even though she has gotten so much better with people because of the love and compassion that I've given here, she has had some pretty intense moments with other dogs. She is very selective about canine friends. Morty is one of the very few exceptions. Well this past week my nephew stopped by and Ri Ri was insanely good. She had been at a place that she would no longer go after people but would be very anxious and bark at them. Well when he came over, it had been a while since he'd been around so I figured Ri Ri would be in full Ri Ri mode, but she wasn't. She simply ran up to him, sniffed, and then waited patiently for him to pet her. I was floored, and began thinking about Pongo again. Well, since I was posted in Titusville today, and the building is literally 5 minutes from the SPCA, I called them and asked if Pongo was still there. I figured he would be, since a lot of reaction that I've gotten when I've shown people his picture are, "He looks mean", that he would be around for a while. Personally, I don't see mean in that face at all. That is a happy pup waiting for a treat right there.

So my relief came late today, which almost messed things up. I get off at 4, but we always clock in and out 5 minutes early, but since he was 10 minutes late, I didn't clock out until 4:05. The SPCA closes at 5 and they stop meet and greets at 4:30. If I had gotten off when I should have I would have probably been there by the time I was actually getting off, so I drove a little crazy and made it there by 4:10. They said that they may not be able to do it, and I let them know that I understood, what with being there so late and there was a storm on it's way, but the two women that do the greets came out and one of the remembered me from when I got Ri Ri. I mentioned Rita aka Ri Ri and she knew exactly who I was and said that she would do the greet. So I was going to meet Pongo. She brought me out to the pen and gave me the information that they had. Pongo was from a Miami swap, and he was found as a stray, so they have no really information about his breed, (it's pretty obvious that he is a pit) or any of his health. He did have some masses removed but the ones that were tested were all lipomas (fatty mass), so no real health concern, but that if he does go home with me, it would be something to keep an eye out for. The other big news was that he is 84 lbs. I was floored, he is bigger than Morty. That doesn't bother me and I let her know that. It wasn't until he came out that the joy of just how much of a squishy chonk he is took hold of me. When she said 84 lbs, I pictured a dog that would probably be a little taller than Morty and built like a brick wall, but that was not the case at all. Without them being side by side, I'd say that Pongo is probably and inch maybe two shorter than he is and most of his weight might be in his big ol pitty head. He has a very stout body as well. He was a little thrown off by the incoming storm and the rain that was coming down, and I immediately saw Morty in him. As you know, Morty is a chicken dog when it comes to thunderstorms so I recognized it right away. She began getting worried because Pongo wasn't really interacting with me, but I knew what was up. He paid just enough attention to me to let me know that it wasn't me, it was the storm. He gave some looks as if to say, "hey dude, you came at the wrong time. I need to focus on all this strange stuff going on around me.". He did take a couple of treats from me and showed no apprehension in approaching me, it was just the storm that was throwing things off. After meeting him I submitted my application for adoption so that a hold would be put on him. That means that they will hold him for 24 hours and not allow him to be adopted out until he can meet Morty and Ri Ri and I will have the first shot at taking him home, but that is really all depending on Ri Ri. I'm sure that He and Morty are going to get along great. He is a very chill dog, that has those occasional moments of play, but for the most part just wants to lay out and relax. That is exactly how Morty is, so I see them really getting along. Ri Ri on the other hand is very selective, so I hope she has a similar reaction to Pongo that she had to Morty. I really think he could be a great addition to my little fur family here and I'll get to give another dog a fur-ever home. My appointment is Monday at 11am for the big meet and greet, so keep and eye on Instagram for some puppy pics this week. If you see them you know what I'll be talking about next week.

Ok, I'm just calling Pongo my Favorite Thing of the Week, because he simply is. I hope you have a wonderful week and as always peace in and goodnight.

What's In The Box

Here I am writing on a Saturday again. I could wait until tomorrow, because I don't need to leave for work until 7 in the morning, but this makes one less thing I have to do in the morning. Well. I did work on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is good, but I think I'm going to have a couple of issues with my paycheck next week. The first being that the schedule isn't showing that I worked on Tuesday, Also on Wednesday I was listed as the site supervisor, which according to everything I've been told, when a different job has a different pay scale, you get that pay for that day. Well, we have this app called Daily Pay where if we choose, at a cost, we could deposit money from our paycheck daily. On that it shows how much was submitted for my daily pay, and on Wednesday, it has me at my normal pay rate. I don't think I'll argue that, but I will argue the missing day. Here is the proof of the site supervisor shift.

I of course blacked out some sensitive things, but you can see it there, Site Supervisor at Boeing KSC.

I am also very confused by my schedule right now as it stands. I went in on Thursday and met my new supervisor on that site, which is why I was listed as site supervisor on Wednesday. Transition period between my old supervisor and my new supervisor. When he left I told him I would see him the next day only to find out later that day that I was scrubbed from the schedule. Getting pulled from a shift the day before your shift I find to be a little unprofessional, but it is what it is. Here is where it gets a little more confusing. I was originally scheduled to work this Saturday and Sunday at that original training site, but they are having a job fair today, so I was switched with my supervisor there to take his Monday shift. So right now I'm Sunday and Monday there, then it's supposed to go back to what my original schedule was supposed to be. KSC Thursday & Friday, then Titusville on Saturday & Sunday, but that isn't what my schedule is showing at all. Right now it has me KSC Wednesday & Thursday then Titusville Sunday & Monday. That is on the schedule for the next 3 weeks. This, if it stays, will really mess with my plans of picking up other shifts elsewhere. Since I have no idea if that is a set schedule I can't accept other shifts for fear that I will simply be switched on a day and then have to tell the site I claimed that I can't make it. This is really confusing right now, but I'm just going to have to figure it out and start making some demands to get things fixed or I'm going to need to start applying with other companies. I can't live on 24-32 hours a week. That just won't cut it.

On to some neat stuff. While I was out at KSC on Wednesday, the Starliner space capsule returned home from White Sands, New Mexico. Have you ever wanted to know what it looks like when I space capsule is transported across country? I can answer your query. It looks just like this.

That's the capsule box still on the back of the flatbed trailer. It is climate controlled and full of tons of sensors that monitor what happens with it while it journeys home. I had to stand watch at the gate while the unloaded it and took it back to the high bay, which is where it will be fully processed and reassembled for it's next flight which is the crew test later this year. It was really neat watching them all go through the process of lifting and moving it to it's return home. It took about an hour from when the truck arrived to when it left. They have to put these big wheels underneath before they can lift it off, then it takes 2 forklifts to raise it as the truck pulls the trailer away and they can drop it to the ground. Then they hook it to one of those little haulers that you've probably seen at airports that help maneuver planes around the tarmac. I was speaking with the media person while we were all out there, and they mention that even if they took the top off it outside, nothing was proprietary. It was only when they opened the hatch that anything would be considered off limits as far as pictures went, so I was ok'd to share that picture above with you. They didn't take the lid off outside, so I missed my chance to see exactly what it looked like with the reentry scorch marks on it, but I'll live. Technically I could go back and take a look at it, but where it is housed is a place that I was told I can enter but only when it is absolutely necessary, and it really hasn't been necessary for me to go back there. I take my job very seriously and the protection of the clients assets is important even from me.

Not much else happened this week. My life is now work, dogs, and TV. Lately I have been thinking of adding a new dog to the family, but it's only in the thinking stage. The idea of taking both Morty and Ri Ri to a meet and greet for a new dog is rather daunting to me. Ri Ri is so much better around people now, but I really have no idea how she will truly act when there are a bunch of people and then a new pup friend involved, so the alone has kept me from even beginning the process by doing a person to animal meet and greet to see if the pup would even want to be part my pack. For now, it's just the Wines trio. We are a pretty good pack, so I'm not upset about that.

Time for Favorite Song of the Week. The D is back. Tenacious D just released a medley of Who songs from Tommy and it is just as epic as you would think it is. Jack Black and Kevin Gas really hit a stride with this one and just simply nail it. I hope you enjoy Tenacious D with "The Who Medley"

Ok, I'll update you on what happens with the schedule next week, until then, do something good for someone and yourself. Peace in and goodnight.

Ups And Downs And Rounds And Rounds

I guess it's time to get to the stuff I wanted to talk about last week. Oh, I should mention that I'm writing this on Sunday night, because I'll be at work tomorrow at 6 in the morning. I could wait until after work to write it, but I have a few other things I'm hoping to get done tomorrow. That is all contingent on this tropical system getting out of here. Outside stuff must be done. I'll get to that.

I posted this picture late last week when I was working at that building that housed mission control for the Starliner launch. I added a caption stating how lucky and privileged I was to get to work next to that building every day. I may have spoken too soon. It seems that despite my supervisor telling me that I was full time at the space center site. The supervisors above him have decided that they hired me as part time, and despite my performance and all that great feedback that I've gotten from my supervisor and actual Boeing employees, they are knocking me back down to part time, and putting me on my original schedule. This is with them also hiring back people that left the company to move onto "greener pastures", and then coming back and getting their choice of job sites. My supervisor is getting moved to a new site, and they are bringing in an old supervisor from this site, as well as an old overnight officer to full time. Yeah, I feel a little burnt by all of this, my now and soon to be former supervisor has my back and wants to take me with him as he moves up the ladder, but that will take some time. For now, I'm going to tow the company line and do as I'm asked, but this means I'm going to have to hustle even harder than I have been to make up the difference. Something else happened that I'm not allowed to talk about but it does feel like me getting bumped down coinciding with this incident, seems like a little bit of punishment for doing the right thing. To put in a way that may be more understandable, it's someone in power trying to make sure I know my place. Sometimes the right thing can put you in a bad situation.

As of now, my schedule has me of Monday-Wednesday, and I head back to the current site for Thursday, then my next scheduled day is Saturday and Sunday at that original site I trained at. The problem I have with that, is that isn't the schedule I was originally promised. Originally it was Thursday and Friday at the current site, and Saturday and Sunday at the training site. If they cut my hours down that much I'm going to have to search out another security company to work for. I've been told that the VAB is run by a different company and that there are openings there. I'll look into it if needed. Like I said. I'm going to tow the company line for right now and see how things play out.

Lately, I've been having a bit of a rough time adjusting to things. Ok, maybe it's more of a mental state adjustment. The thing that gives me time to fill any open days on the job is also the thing that is causing me this weird mental state. I have no life outside of work. I wake up, feed the dogs, go to work, come home, watch a little TV, then go to sleep and start all over again. When my mom was around I at least had someone to talk to. She may not have understood everything, but I could speak to someone about accomplishments and goals and get some sort of response. I love my dogs, but they can't give me a response to those types of things, so a very unorthodox loneliness has set in that I've never really experienced before. There's also the fact that I have freedom for the first time in a few years or so, and I could actually date, but I have no idea where or how to meet anyone for that. I've been doing the dating apps, but that is truly abysmal, I'm terrible at it and I really don't trust anyone on there to begin with, so it's just a time waster at this point. I really just want to go on a date. I think it would be truly wonderful to sit down with someone new and talk and get to know them, I just don't know how to do that right now. Maybe this will pass too.

Ok, let's talk a little TV. Trust me, this I know. I've been getting in a few shows lately, Stranger Things of course, which I really shouldn't have to tell you to go watch it at this point, you should have already done that. I did watch a 6 part series on HULU, called Pistols, which is about the rise and fall of the Sex Pistols, and it is simply fantastic. The guy that plays Johnny Lydon, AKA Johnny Rotten, is out of this world good. There are so many people that were involved with the Sex Pistols that I didn't know about, it's wild. Give it a try. I also started watching a new Star Trek on Paramount + It's called Star Trek; Strange New Worlds, and basically tells the story of the Enterprise during the time that Captain Pike had the helm. Spock, Uhura, and Nurse Chapel are part of this crew, so there are some names you know. There is also a Kirk, but if I'm right about this, it's actually the Captain Kirk that you know's father. That hasn't fully played out yet, and he has only made an appearance on 1 episode so far. I think they are 4 or 5 in at this point. They are releasing them weekly, like they have done with all the other Star Trek series on there. I should haven't to mention Picard and Discovery, these are also shows you should have already watched.

Ok, one more show that I've picked up, also on Paramount + is a new weekly one called Joe Pickett. It tells the story of a Game Warden that is in a new rural area and is now involved in solving the murder of a poacher that ended up on his woodpile. That is a way over simplification of things, but it's really good. Oh yeah, last but not least, The Boys is back with a new season and it is clearly trying to out do itself so far. I watched the first 2 episodes last night. That is on Amazon Prime and I think they dropped the whole season, but I'm not sure because last time they did it 2 episodes at a time, but last night episode 3 was ready to play when I had to cut it off to go to bed. Give these shows a chance, they are really good.

Ok, time for Favorite Song of the Week. This is actually a few weeks old, but other things got int he way of me posting this one, so now we are here and I'm ready to finally post it. This comes from a band you probably haven't heard of, but they are musicians on a whole other level. When You see the video you will understand why. I'm just going to get right to it and then tell you a little bit about why this is even more difficult than it looks. I present to you Polyphia with their new song, "Playing God".

If you watched the video you can see the high level of skill and talent that all of these guys have, but here is why it is even more difficult than what you can see. For the most part Polyphia plays all electric instruments, other than the drums of course, but with doing this song acoustic, it steps it up a whole other level. Electric guitars in and of themselves are easy to play. I don't mean that in that anyone can do it, just that they way they are set up makes them much easier to play than an acoustic guitar. The action is usually lower and much more accessible where as on acoustic it is higher and much more difficult to play a note. You have to push down with your finger harder, is a very easy way of saying it, so doing what they are doing on acoustic guitars makes this so much more difficult than it appears. For example, if you go on youtube and type in Polyphia Playing God covers, everyone that is doing it, is playing it on electric guitar. Why? Cause it is much easier to do. There are probably very few people who can actually cover that song accurately on an acoustic guitar. By they way, I've watched a few of the covers and they are well done, but there is always something that they miss. Check out Polyphia's other songs, G.O.A.T. is one of their best known songs and great place to start your journey if you want to really check them out.

That's all I have for this week. I know this one seems a little bit of a downer, but I'm not as bad as you may think I am. Despite the dogs not being able to give me that human response, they are they absolute best and I truly have no idea what I would do with out them. Peace in and goodnight.
