I Passed

I passed my eye exam. No really, I passed it. My right eye was unchanged, and my left eye actually got better, that constitutes a passing grade for an eye exam. I did order a new pair of glasses, and they are going to be pretty rad. They are Ray Ban's again, but this time they are the traditional Wayfarer design with a little bit of a twist. Traditional Wayfarers would be a black frame, but these are a frosted clear. I wish they could have had the purple transition lens that are new, but my optometrist doesn't have those yet. So it is just a simple clear to dark lens. I should be getting those next week. I post a picture when I do. It will be a bit of a new look for me.

The Hero 7 GoPro should be here sometime tomorrow. I'm only hoping that it doesn't come when I am out filming for TPR. We are doing a review tomorrow. This is the first one in about a month. I would have preferred not to have this long of a gap between doing them, but the special took precedence, and a lot of my time. Back to the grind tomorrow though. I'm hoping that we don't screw things up, and forget our format. It happened in the video that is going up on Thursday. Things were unusual for that one, and I didn't get the footage that I usually do, so I had to improvise to make the video look good. I recovered rather well. You can judge for yourself on Thursday when it comes out.

I didn't get to write today, so I'm already behind on my plan to have three chapters done this week, but I did write chapter 51 on Monday. It was a tough one to write, and I still have to have follow up for it in the next chapter, so that one should prove to be equally difficult. It's necessary though. A story can't move forward, if it remains in the same place. This is part of the catalyst to moving the story forward. It has to happen. I'll try to get that chapter done tomorrow before TPR business.

All the cameras are prepped. By prepped I mean I checked them for memory card space, and to see if the batteries were fully charged. I am a go on everything. Oh yeah, don't forget to check our Instagram tomorrow evening to see the pizza that we ate for the next review. This review will go up in two weeks, so you will have advanced notice of what it all looked like.

I'm going to back up a bit and talk about this freaking cough that I'm still dealing with. It isn't as prevalent as it has been, but it is still there. It is most affected when I eat or drink anything. This is a problem I have had for some time to a small extent. My throat gets slightly irritated when I eat. The result is that I usually have to cough a few times during most meals. I have learned to live with that, but right now, it gets irritated and the cough lingers for a good 15 minutes to a half hour.

I was talking to a friend today, and I mentioned that if I ever found the person that got me sick this time around, I was going to punch them in the face. I don't care who it is either. I can say that because I will never find that person, so the fantasy fulfills my reality.

Oh, back to the GoPro. I meant to mention this before, and yes I know I'm bouncing all over the place tonight. Sunday's video will be about that new GoPro. I want to do a comparison video of the new versus the old. I will ride the same path with both cameras and see how the footage looks different. I will also test the new image stabilization by putting it up against the old Hero 5 in the Karma Grip versus it in a hand held fixture. If the new stabilization is as good as they are saying it is, there should be little difference between the two video captures. Trust me, I can still see walking movement in the GoPro have now even with the Karma Grip and extra stabilization turned on. If this new camera can smoother everything out to make it look like it is on a giant gimbal with now up and down movement, that is a game changer. That's my opinion anyway. It could make for some really slick video footage.

It's time for Favorite Song of the Week. This week I've been feeling Diana Ross, so I had to choose a song by her. You should know that she started out as a member of The Supremes, which later became Diana Ross and The Supremes, and then, just the solo career. She is the epitome of Diva. The Queen of all and the creator of all that will follow. This particular song comes from her solo album entitled "diana" and yes it is in all lower case. I personally think this is when she sounded her best, so it's only fitting that I choose a song from that album. Here is Diana Ross with "Upside Down".

Ok, now stop for just a second. I know you didn't click play on the video. Go back up there and hit that play button, and just dance while you let that music flow through you. You will feel much better. Did you do it? Good.

I'm going to leave you with that. Peace in and goodnight.
